"The Lake Pontchartrain Women's Sailing Foundation AdventureSail was great. Thanks from Lake Pontchartrain Women's Sailing Association to everyone--NOYC for the great meeting spot and life jackets. Whole Foods for yummy snacks and lunch. Rorie and Mel for water and snacks. Dottie and Ed took the unglamorous job of doing all the land based work, with none of the "glory" of being on one of the boats. Joann at the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation connected us with the Scout Troop and were our weather haven. Ella, Anne, Laura, Vanessa, Diane, Jack, Teresa, Elliott, Angie, Wendy, Clyde -- I hope I didn't forget any skippers or crew -- thanks for the use of your boats, and your expertise to make a memory for the cutest Girl Scouts in LA. All sweeties! Thanks to CAPT Cunningham. The look on one girl's face when the captain addressed the girls, telling them to work hard, overcome failures and always believe in themselves, made it a certainty that child had a day she will remember. And Rev. Thompson and his blessed wife, Pat and Trina who work with these kids all the time. I am grateful and humbled to have been a part of such a good day."
